Les technologies des différentes révolutions industrielles ont radicalement transformé le monde quotidien et la sensibilité occidentale ; elles ont permis de profonds renouvellements après une période d’usure. À un moment de rupture particulièrement forte, celui de la seconde révolution industrielle, Cocteau, Satie, Picasso, Massine se sont réunis pour former une constellation artistique le temps d’un spectacle remarquable : Parade (1917). Plus spécifiquement, cet article aborde Parade comme un cas particulièrement riche de mutation des sensibilités et de convergence des différentes tendances artistiques et culturelles de fond qui a permis l’émergence esthétique du bruit.
