Research on the Duties of Remote safety Inspector for Autonomous Commercial Vehicles

<div class="section abstract"><div class="htmlview paragraph">At present, autonomous commercial vehicles can automatically complete all transport services under limited conditions. Compared with traditional vehicles, autonomous vehicles have the characteristics of high electronic level and multiple control subjects. Remote driving safety inspector is an important guarantee for the safety application of unmanned vehicles at this stage. Whether the intelligent vehicle equipped with the driver or the safety inspector is an obvious feature to reflect the intelligence of the vehicle, a basis for the division of responsibilities, and an important factor to affect the commercial application of intelligent vehicles. Nowadays, the responsibility of remote safety inspector domestic and abroad is not clear. This paper analyzes the traditional vehicle to execute the whole transportation process task list. Combined with the current autonomous vehicle technical level, remote control technical level and other development level, the research put forward three responsibilities of remote safety inspector for autonomous commercial vehicles, including actively monitoring and executing emergency disposal to the in-board anomalies, responding and executing emergency disposal to the alarm of passengers in-board, responding and executing emergency disposal to the accident alarm or takeover request issued by the autonomous vehicle. The research results are of great significance to support the implementation of relevant autonomous driving policies and promote the development and application of autonomous driving technology.</div></div>
