Bibliometric Analysis of Boehmite Catalyst Research

View through CrossRef
Boehmite (γ-AlOOH) is one of the versatile alumina phases widely used as catalysts and supports various chemical processes. This research searched and collected literature related to boehmite catalysts based on the Scopus database. This study aimed to identify research trends, authors, and main application areas of boehmite as a catalyst in the period 2000-2024 with the help of VOSviewer software to create a bibliometric network. The study applied inclusion criteria, resulting in 750 documents, previously 894. Most authors were Arash Ghorbani-Choghamarani, Bahman Tahmasbi, and Kiumars Bahrami; the most cited documents were by authors Zhang Z, et al (2002a), Zhang Z, et al (2002b), and Ravenelle R.M., et al (2011). The sources of most publications were Applied Catalysis A: General, Catalysis Today, Petroleum Processing, and Petrochemicals. The most used keywords are boehmite, alumina, pseudo-boehmite, catalysts, and boehmite nanoparticles. China, Iran, the Russian Federation, France, and the United States are the five countries that have the most publications, with the most cited country for publication documents being China, with a total of 3850 citations. The bibliometric findings of this study can be material for future researchers to exchange research expertise, collaborate, and create innovative joint ventures.
