Legal Regulation of Multimodal Transportation in the Republic of Uzbekistan

The proposed research work is devoted to the study of one of the current topics of the present - the international legal status of multimodal transport. According to researchers and theorists who have studied this topic, the issue of the international legal status of multimodal transport is one of the long-studied and controversial issues in the field of private international law. <br><br>The main task of studying the international legal status of multimodal transport is to establish the differences and features of the legal status of the latter. The importance and relevance of this topic can be determined based on the definition of the very concept of multimodal transportation and the level of relevance of the practical application of this kind of transportation methods. <br><br>Multimodal transportation is the transportation of passengers, cargo, baggage, and mail by several variations of vehicles, such as land, sea and air. At present, in many foreign countries and in our country, all three types of vehicles are present as types of transportation. It should be noted that abroad, instead of the term mixed, the professional term “multimodal” is used and this type of transportation is mainly used to deliver cargo, but for the Romano-Germanic system, this term denotes a specific feature of mixed transportation.<br><br>The significance of multimodal transportation lies in the fact that they are the best option for transportation over long distances; With this type of transportation, the delivery time is significantly reduced, and transportation costs are minimized. The most important advantage of multimodal transport is that there will be a certain mechanism for legal regulation of the supplier's responsibility to the customer.
