On June 16, 2024, the famous criminologist Yakov Ilyich Gilinsky turned 90 years old. Doctor of Law Sciences, Professor Yakov Gilinsky is the author of 700 works on criminology, law, deviantology, psychology, sociology, victimology. In the center of attention — “excluded” and other problems of the postmodern man. The ideas and results of the research of Yakov Gilinsky contributed to the definition of the direction of promising research — “metamodern society”, the formation and development of the scientific concept not only about “deviantology”, but also about the “crime victim” and its understanding. Yakov Gilinsky brings invaluable contribution to the development of Russian criminology and victimology, is an honorary member of the editorial board of our scientific journal “Victimology”, since its foundation
