Musical integration of guzheng and guqin, Tang poetry and Song lyrics

The specifics of Tang poetry and Song lyrics are revealed in the sound of traditional Chinese musical instruments - guzheng and guqin. The peaceful, implicit and restrained timbre of guqin is similar to the implication of Tang poetry. The bright and soft timbre of guzheng is very similar to gentle and graceful Song lyrics. The article studies the specifics of the process of the melody integration of guzheng and guqin with Tang poetry and Song lyrics.
