OS BENEFÍCIOS DA DRENAGEM LINFÁTICA MANUAL NO PÓS-OPERATÓRIO IMEDIATO DE ABDOMINOPLASTIA EM MULHERES: UMA REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA DE LITERATURA

Abdominoplasty is a surgical procedure that removes fat from the patient’s abdomen, which may develop possible complications, but which can be prevented when guided pre- and post-operatively by a specialized professional. Particularly these local complications may require treatments such as DLM. The objective of this work was to demonstrate the effects of MLD on women in the immediate post-operative period of abdominoplasty. Methodology: This is an integrative review of the literature through the search for scientific data on the following platforms: LILACS, MEDLINE, PubMed, Scielo and the Capes Periodicals Portal, being published between the years 2016 to 2024. Results and discussions: Seven articles were selected that aim to use available resources and techniques in the treatment of complications arising from the pre-and post-operative period of abdominoplasty in women. Final Considerations: It is clear that physiotherapeutic resources and methods are effective in reducing and/or recovering complications arising from abdominoplasty plastic surgeries, with manual lymphatic drainage and lymphatic drainage as the predominant treatment, however, new studies are needed on the resources resulting from these complications.
