Pendant; gold, topaz crystals and garnets; designed and made by David Thomas; London, 1967-8. Pendant with a raised central cluster of irregular topaz crystals, from which radiate individually-applied gold wires, some of which have granular decoration, and which have scattered amongst them narrow rectangular garnets. On the back is a hook to attach the chain, and a pin allowing the piece to be worn as a brooch. The chain comprises long, alternating links in two distinct patterns: of three rods with granular surface texturing fused at the mid-point; and of a three-dimensional geometric outline made from four shaped lengths of gold. . Pendant with a raised central cluster of irregular topaz crystals, from which radiate individually-applied gold wires, some of which have granular decoration, and which have scattered amongst them narrow rectangular garnets.
On the back is a hook to attach the chain, and a pin allowing the piece to be worn as a brooch.
