Saint Ludmila / Heilige Ludmila Women in the Christianization of Central Europe / Frauen in der Zeit der Christianisierung Mitteleuropas

The volume <i>Saint Ludmila – Women in the Christianization of Central Europe: Heilige Ludmila – Frauen in der Zeit der Christianisierung Mitteleuropas</i> is a collection of studies presenting the work of a number of researchers who loosely followed up on the international conference of the same name, organized in 2021 on the 1100th anniversary of the martyrdom of Saint Ludmila. The entire collection focuses in various aspects of the topic of Christianization and the perhaps somewhat surprising role that women played in this process. This is not a Czech or Central European specificity, as the variety and scope of the contributions shows.
