Salwa Judum and Violations of Constitutional Mandates

Salwa Judum has emerged recently as a means of human rights violations. Salwa Judum which in real sense signifies a peaceful march. But in current scenario Indian government along with the various state governments is indulged in the activity of Salwa Judum, by providing arms to common people and minor children against there will to counter the naxal movement in the country. This paper brings out how the mode of Salwa Judum operations has led to the human rights violations of the people and the rights of children in the naxal affected areas of the country. It also brings out how the mode of Salwa Judum operations has led to violations the people’s right to carry out their economic activities and thus led to the creation of civil war like situation in the naxal affected areas of the country. And how the step of the government via the operations of Salwa Judum operations is not justified?
