Visionary British artist and designer Brendan McCarthy is internationally known for his singularly unique approach to art and craft. His comics debut, Sometime Stories, was published in 1977, and he went on to publish work with Vanguard Illustrated, Strange Days,
2000 AD, and Vertigo. He was part of the famous ‘British Invasion’ of the comics industry in the 1980s, which actually led to the creation of DC Vertigo and created new pathways for comics to gain wider influence within both Hollywood and the broader pop culture. With writer
