Komunikasi Semiotika Karya Seni Patung Monyet Di Sanna Ubud A Pramana Experience

Sculpture works of art are three-dimensional works of art which are formed using methods of reducing materials, cutting, sculpting and so on. Sculpture experiences significant development when there are internal and external influences or factors, namely from the designer's side and from external influences. There is a work of sculpture that attracts attention, namely the monkey at Sanna Ubud A Pramana Experience which is inspired by the story of Ni Diah Tantri. The existence of this statue is not only a form of visual art, but also as a manifestation of philosophical complexity and the value of semiotic communication. The monkey statue creates space for interpretation by utilizing the value of semiotic communication. In this case what emerges in this context is that the pattern, function and meaning of semiotic communication behind the concept of the monkey statue has not been understood and there is a secret that want to express.This research uses a qualitative approach with the semiotic theory of Charles Sanders Pierce, Roland Barthes, and Ferdinand de Saussure. The research location is at Sanna Ubud A Pramana Experience which is located on the Tegalalang highway. Research methods include collecting data from secondary sources such as journals and previous research, as well as primary data from interviews with designers or artists of sculptures. Observation, interviews and documentation methods was used to gain a comprehensive understanding of semiotic communication in the sculpture.
The semiotic communication pattern of the monkey sculpture artwork at Sanna Ubud A Pramana Experience is seen as a one-way process that is effective in conveying a message and has an important persuasive dimension in influencing the thoughts and actions of the recipient of the message. The Semiotic Communication Pattern of the Sculpture meets the criteria for icons, indexes and symbols. The semiotic communication function of the monkey statue artwork provides information about ideas, events and Balinese cultural values and fulfills semiotic criteria through signs and signifiers. The meaning of semiotic communication in this research is related to the meaning of denotation, connotation and myth.
