Inventaire des communautés lombriciennes de la région de Mbanza-Ngungu dans la province de Kongo-central (RD Congo)

Les lombriciens jouent un rôle clé dans le fonctionnement des sols. Ils décomposent la litière et l’incorporent au sol, ils construisent et maintiennent la structure du sol en creusant des galeries et en modifiant l’agrégation du sol. Ils ont ainsi une implication intéressante dans la fertilité et le cycle des nutriments du sol. Cette étude a été menée à Mbanza-Ngungu dans la province de Kongo-central en République Démocratique du Congo (RDC). L’objectif a été d’inventorier, d’identifier et d’analyser la diversité lombricienne des sols des écosystèmes de Mbanza-Ngungu. Des collectes ont été réalisées de 2017 à 2019. Neuf espèces appartenant à deux familles ont été identifiées. Il s’agit de la famille Acanthodrilidae avec huit espèces : Benhamia itoliensis, Benhamia rosea, Dichogaster wenkei, D. tenuiseta, D. toroensis, D. savanicola, D. austeni et D. congica. Une seule espèce, Hyperiodrilus africanus a représenté la famille Eudrilidae. Les espèces D. austeni et Hyperiodrilus africanus ont été régulièrement récoltées dans tous les biotopes étudiés. La richesse spécifique et la diversité des insectes diminuent de la galerie à la formation herbeuse. Earthworms play a key role in soil functioning. They break down litter and incorporate it into the soil, they build and maintain soil structure by digging galleries and changing soil aggregation. They thus have an interesting implication in the fertility and the cycle of soil nutrients. This study has been conducted at Mbanza-Ngungu in Kongo-Central Province in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The main purpose of this study was to inventory, identify and analyze Mbanza-Ngungu ecosystems earthworm diversity of the soils. Data collects has been achieved from 2017 to 2019. Nine species belonging to two families have been identified, such as Acanthodrilidae family with eight species: Benhamia itoliensis, Benhamia rosea, Dichogaster wenkei, D. tenuiseta, D. toroensis, D. savanicola, D. austeni and D. congica. Among them, only one species, Hyperiodrilus africanus, which has represented the family of Eudrilidae. The species D. austeni and Hyperiodrilus africanus have been found out regularly through the biotope on which was based our study. The specific abundance and the insects diversity are decreasing from gallery to grassland formation.
