This manuscript was produced in the mid thirteenth century for St. Louis. It has 78 full-page miniatures depicting scenes of the first books of the Old Testament. The scenes are all accompanied by an architectural framework inspired by Gothic buildings of the time. The Psalter of Saint Louis is one of the jewels of the history of France. Its colors (blue, red) are sublime, brilliant golds, gorgeous gothic frames. The selected thumbnail depicts Noah's ark.
