Ida Vitale es reconocida por ser una fuerza poética en el ámbito de la lengua española, alguien que sabe renovar la tradición y afirmar la presencia de la modernidad. Nacida en Montevideo en 1923, forma parte de la llamada “Generación del 45”. Llegó a México en 1974 después de exiliarse por la dictadura militar en su país. Su poesía se expresa con una fina ironía risueña que recupera y reinventa las cosas y nos las hace ver de otra manera, con otros ojos. Esta es una muestra de su obra, luego de ser acreedora al Premio FIL de Literatura en Lenguas Romances, edición 2018.
