Comparative Study of Neuropharmacological Activity of Majoon-E-Flasfa and its Redesigned Dosage Forms in Experimental Animal Models

Background: The age associated cognitive disorders like amnesia and Alzheimers disease significantly affect the productivity of an individual and the quality of life. Due to the side effects of nootropic agents, phytomedicine is considered to be an effective alternative with very less or no side effects. Title: Comparative Study of Neuropharmacological Activity of Majoon-E-Flasfa and its Redesigned Dosage Forms in Experimental Animal Models
Description:
Background: The age associated cognitive disorders like amnesia and Alzheimers disease significantly affect the productivity of an individual and the quality of life.
Due to the side effects of nootropic agents, phytomedicine is considered to be an effective alternative with very less or no side effects.
Researchers continue to work on sustaining the cognition by implementing the synergistic effect of nutrition and herbal medicine on an individual to help in restoring a healthy and positive attitude towards life.

Neuropharmacological actions which include gross behavior, Narcosis
potentiation, spontaneous motor activity, neuromuscular coordination, analgesic effect,
anticonvulsant activity, conditioned avoidance response, and learning behavior and Memory,
working memory and spatial working memory were studied.
Results: Treatment with conventional and redesigned dosage forms indicated a possible
antidepressant and analgesic effect, psychomotor performances, anticonvulsant activity,
spontaneous motor activity, anxiolytic and behavior and memory (maze models) with no
response on muscular coordination.
Conclusions: The study revealed that the redesigned form i.
