A contemporary interpretation of the traditional canons of the art architecture of the theater in Japan: “Noh stage in the forest” by Kengo Kuma

Architecture as an anti-object has become a manifest of K. Kuma which pursued the aim to cri-ticize star architecture stardom and vanity in the professional sphere and was the main idea of his last years philosophy. “Noh stage in the forest” according to the architect’s opinion has succeeded in being one of the most vivid examples of anti-object. In the article architecture of “Noh stage in the forest” by K. Kuma is analyzed in relation with the traditional rules and canons which were first applied to the Noh theater’s scene in XVII century and also in relation with Kumaa's conceptual perception of contemporary architecture.
