Capabilities Management and Performance of Beverages Manufacturing Companies in Anambra State, Nigeria

This study examines the effect of capabilities management and performance of beverages
manufacturing companies in Anambra State. The study aims to investigate the effect of innovation
capabilities on sales volume; customer knowledge capability on marketing performance; market
knowledge capability on return on net of beverages manufacturing companies in Anambra State,
Nigeria. Relevant literature was review. The study adopted descriptive research design. The study
was carried out in Anambra State, Nigeria. The population of this study cmprised 470 employee
of beverages manufacturing companies in Anambra State. The sample size consists of 470. The
instruments were subjected to face and content validity. The reliability of the questionnaire was
established through the test-retest and Cronbachi’s Alpha. Simple multiple regression analysis in
testing hypothesis. The result from the findings revealed that innovation capabilities have a
positive significant effect on sales volume of beverages manufacturing companies customer
knowledge capability has a positive significant effect on marketing performance of beverages
manufacturing companies; market knowledge capabilities have a significant positive influence on
Return on net profit of beverages manufacturing companies in Anambra State, Nigeria. The study
concluded that capabilities management have a positive significant effect on the performance of
beverages manufacturing companies in Anambra State, Nigeria. The study recommended among
other that management of manufacturing firms in this era of faster competition and digitization,
should promote activities that seek to increase innovation capability in other to increase
organizational sales volume and management of manufacturing firms should embark on building
a stronger customer knowledge capability since it has been established that it contributes
significantly to marketing performance
