Frases sentenciosas e polêmica: vozes coletivas na construção de sentido em discurso de Jojo Todynho

Developed within the framework of the VozCol research project, which seeks to map and typify collective voices in diverse discourses, this article aims to identify relevant categories for the construction of meaning through collective voices expressed in aphoristic statements, based on the analysis of a live broadcast conducted by the digital influencer Jordana Gleise de Jesus Menezes, known as Jojo Todynho, in September 2024. The methodology adopted is qualitative and exploratory in nature. The results show that the construction of meaning through aphoristic statements employed by Jojo Todynho can be classified according to three parameters: the concept at issue, the type of judgment, and enunciative anchoring. In the corpus, the following concepts were identified: respect, character, education, and visibility/recognition; the types of judgment: deontic and epistemic; and the forms of anchoring: absent (non-anchored aphoristic statement) and present (anchored aphoristic statement). It was observed that cases of epistemic judgment and anchored aphoristic statements (notably associated with the speaker) were more closely related to the concept of character, since the influencer constructs, in her discourse, the image of a “person of character,” whereas cases of deontic judgment and non-anchored aphoristic statements were more closely related to the concept of respect, insofar as Jojo Todynho’s speech projects a norm according to which everyone must be respected.
