Marjan Advertising Analysis 2023 From The Perspective of Jean Baudrillard

This study aims to analyze Marjan 2023 advertisements from the perspective of Jean Baudrillard, asocial philosopher and cultural theorist known for his concepts of simulation and hyperreality. TheMarjan 2023 advertisement was chosen because it represents the phenomenon of consumption andpopular culture which can be seen from Baudrillard's perspective. The method used in this research istext analysis and semiotics. Marjan 2023 commercials are analyzed in depth to reveal the messagescontained in them, as well as the symbols and representations used to influence the audience. The resultsof the analysis show that the Marjan 2023 ad reflects Baudrillard's concept of hyperreality. Theseadvertisements create images that exaggerate reality and create a world that is separate from theexisting reality. These ads use strong visual and narrative strategies to create an intense and seductiveexperience for consumers. In addition, the advertisement for Marjan 2023 also depicts consumption asa form of social identity and prestige. This product is presented as a symbol of success and personalsatisfaction. However, at the same time, this advertisement also shows the irony behind consumption,where consumers are deceived by the symbols and images created by the advertisement itself. Thisresearch contributes to the understanding of how advertising can influence consumer perceptions andexperiences in hyperreality contexts. Baudrillard's perspective provides a critical view of consumptionand popular culture, revealing the dynamics of power and manipulation that lie behind theseadvertisements.
