Abstract
In this interdisciplinary interview, multilingual poet Dinara Rasuleva reflects on her ongoing projects that investigate the partial loss and creative resurgence of her native Tatar. She discusses the role of poetic form, sound, sensory memory, and cross-linguistic experimentation in rebuilding a language affected by migration and historical suppression. Drawing on perspectives from linguistics and literary studies, the interview highlights the intersections between first language attrition, mixed-language poetics, and contemporary political conditions surrounding minoritized languages.
