Ruth Ammann, Verena Kast, and Ingrid Riedel, editors of Treasures from the Archive: C. G. Jung Institute Zürich-Küsnacht. Images Created by Patients in Analysis, 1917-1955 (2023), chose and compiled images and excerpts from the Picture Archives in Zurich, an enormously valuable assemblage of archetypal material. The Archives include collections of images from Jung's and Jacobi's private patients who painted their dreams and fantasies venturing into and exploring unconscious realms of the psyche. In this process they were able to reflect and connect to their inherent creativity and therefore to their individuation processes. The reviewer notes that the imagery and style of the images is reminiscent of Jung's own images published in The Red Book (2009).
