Business Performance Management Platforms Overview Part 2: The Hyperion/Oracle Platform

By acquiring Hyperion Solutions in 2007, Oracle consolidated its position as a leader on the BPM Market. Released in the July 2008, the new BPM platform is called Oracle EPM System and includes a number of innovations and capabilities to improve business insights and decision-making. Oracle EPM System integrates performance management applications and technologies from Hyperion, which Oracle bought in March 2007, and BI applications and technologies from Siebel, which Oracle bought in September 2005.
