The inscription at the bottom, inside a poster with shield: Altissimo. et Illustrissmo... obquetissimus seruus D. On the right, next to the symbols of the Passion: Cu priuil. Sm. D. N. Sixti Papae/V. p years x. Some of the inscription was erased... gallus, Difiere the image of Barocci’s original in the background: Urbino’s ducal palace does not appear, and neither the thieves nor two characters are on the crosses, removing two stairs. On the right below, on the marble slab, there is not the cloth and the symbols of the Passion distributed in different ways too. It seems to be recorded according to Barocci’s drawings and preparatory sketches. There is a stamp of A. Sadeler that reproduces Barocci’s original faithfully (M. Bury)
