Plaster cast made from mold of an Arretine ware vessel

The decoration in relief on this plaster fragment, created by mold 1910.129.A, depicts a maenad dancing. Her garment (chiton) falls off her left shoulder, exposing her left shoulder and breast. Her right arm is raised and bent behind her head; her right hand clasps a dagger. A cloak flows out behind her; the lower part of her chiton swirls behind her body, revealing the shape of her torso and left leg. A band of rosettes in rings run above her (two partial and one complete rosette are extant). The fragment (like the mold) itself is in a roughly in the shape of an isosceles triangle with the tip of broken off.
