On projective covers of flat semimodules and von Neumann regular rings

We show that every flat semimodule having a projective cover coincides with that cover up to isomorphism. Also, we prove that all (finitely generated) semimodules over a semiring [Formula: see text] are flat iff [Formula: see text] is a von Neumann regular ring.
