“Will history repeat itself? It is this thought which fills me with anxiety. This anxiety is deepened by the realisation of the fact that in addition to our old enemies in the form of castes and creeds, we are going to have many political parties with diverse and opposing political creeds...our independence will be put in jeopardy a second time and probably be lost forever” (Ambedkar, 1949). We people of India are united by nation but divided by castes. Will it going to be end in any case? Or is there any way to annihilate this caste system, which is spreading like a virus from generations to generations, is there any vaccine to kill this virus from the brains of our people? The sole solution and vaccine for this virus is Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s thoughts and his works. Dr. B. R. Ambedkar had not only written constitution but also many works which leads us to many theories which helps to annihilate this caste system from this country. When it comes to humanities and social sciences there is a need of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s works to include in its various disciplines especially in English to implement his theories to analyse works written by Dalit writers. Now-a-days we can see the emergence of Dalit writers like Gogu Shyamala, Joopaka Subhadra, Om Prakash Valmiki, etc., these people are writing to showcase their pain to the readers and to make them to realise indirectly and to stop oppressing them and their upcoming generations. These works will also become the road to next generation which may lead them to become “one nation one man” without any caste discrimination by realising the pain of discriminated and oppressed castes. To analyse the works written by Dalit writers, Marxist criticism theory is not sufficient because his theories are based on class division not caste division which implies to Western countries. When it comes to India, a sub-continent of our world or globe is divided into castes which were again divided into sub-castes. So, to analyse the works written by Dalit writers need to have new theories which can be critically analysed and bring out the solutions for those problems written in the particular book or novel by a particular writer. This paper is going to critically analyse Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s selected works to find out theories given by him and to bring them out, which can be implemented in research by researchers to analyse Dalit writers works in future. The work that is selected in this paper is “Ambedkar’s India” which is the compilation of his three speeches in three different situations, stages and times; ‘The Grammar of Anarchy’ was his last speech in the constituent assembly of India in Delhi, on the eve of adoption of the constitution – 25 November 1949, ‘Annihilation of caste’ was a speech prepared by him to be delivered at the Annual Conference of the Jat-pat-Todak Mandal of Lahore in 1936, and ‘Castes in India: The Mechanism, Genesis and Development’ he read the following paper at an anthropological seminar at Columbia University on 9 May 1916. By critically analysing the selected work of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, this paper will bring out the theories given by him through his speeches which may be further implemented in ‘Literary theory’ section in English literature, which may become the source for analysing the Dalit literature in a critical caste division point of view.
