Abstract This article takes a look at Slovakia and Hungary in the Bronze Age, the former being rich in copper, gold, iron, and tin at that time. It first describes the setting and natural conditions of these two countries, and then discusses the chronological systems. The article then shifts to a detailed discussion of the Early and Middle Bronze Ages in Slovakia and Hungary, which featured three basic geographical areas: the Danube and Tisza interfluves, the Danubian region, and the Tisza region. It also discusses the Late and Final Bronze Ages, when the cultural development of Slovakia and Hungary was divided into the Tisza Basin and Tisza-Danube interfluves regions, the Danube region and the valleys in the mountainous area north of Slovakia. The final section of the article studies the hillforts that emerged during the Late Bronze Age, as well as the end of the Bronze Age in Slovakia and Hungary.
