View through Europeana Collections
A divided postcard containing colorful lithography from a painting by the Polish painter Adam Setkowicz (1876-1945). The painting depicts a religious debate between Judaism and Christianity, using a depiction of two figures, a rabbi with a beard and a beige in front of him a monk wearing a cape, pointing to books in front of them. The postcard was printed with the name of the work and the artist's pseudonym (S. Adam), while the name of the polish painters' association in Kraków was printed on the back. This postcard was not used. In the postcard you can see the artist's signature on the painting, marking the year 1911. Apparently, this postcard was produced near that year. On the back of the postcard was the place of production: Made in Galicia (Austria). According to this version, it must be assumed that it was printed before the end of World War I.
