Evaluation Of The Bike Lane Zone Or Safe Lane Zone In LA

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the Bike Lane Zone or Safe Lane Zone in La Trinidad, Benguet among road users and motorists. Its effectiveness was assessed using the following variables: the level of awareness of Ordinance No. 33-2017 of La Trinidad, Benguet; the level of implementation of Ordinance No. 33-2017 of La Trinidad, Benguet; and the problems encountered in the implementation of the ordinance as perceived by road users and motorists. A quantitative descriptive research design was employed in the study. The respondents consisted of 75 road users and 75 motorists, with a total of 150 respondents from La Trinidad, Benguet, selected through quota sampling. Data were gathered using a questionnaire checklist utilizing a four-point Likert scale. Descriptive equivalents, weighted mean, and ranking were used to analyze the data. The results showed that the ordinance was highly implemented and that road users and motorists were aware of Ordinance No. 33-2017. This means that the ordinance was effectively enforced and implemented, as perceived by the respondents. Hence, it can be concluded that Ordinance No. 33-2017, as implemented by the municipality, was highly effective. The researchers recommend the installation of highly visible signages or road markings to serve as continuous information dissemination for all road users and motorists in La Trinidad, Benguet. These findings provide valuable insights for road users, motorists, and future researchers.
