The Potential of Sapodilla Manila Leaf Extract (Manilkara zapota) and Sapodilla Kecik Leaf Extract (Manilkara Kauki) as Inhibitor of Candida albicans Growth

The purpose of this research is to know the best potency and concentration of sapodilla manila leaf extract(Manilkara zapota) and sapodilla kecik leaf (Manilkara kauki) to blocked growth zone of Candida albicans.This research is an experimental research using complete random design (RAL) with disc diffusion methodand conducted in Microbiology Laboratory of Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of PGRI AdiBuana University. The results showed that the leaf of sapodilla manila leaf extract (Manilkara zapota) andsapodilla kecik leaf (Manilkara kauki) has the potential to inhibit the growth of Candida albicans. Sapodillamanila leaf extract (Manilkara zapota) is best in inhibit the growth of Candida albicans at 80%concentration with a diameter of the inhibit zone of 1.62 mm. Sapodilla kauki leaf extract (Manilkara kauki)is best in inhibit the growth of Candida albicans that is at 80% concentration with a large zone of 3.96 mminhibition.
