HARNESSING HOME-GROWN TECHNOLOGY FOR NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT: A REVIEW

This paper aims to examine the potential of homegrown technology in promoting national development in developing countries. The paper argues that while technology produced in the developed world has brought certain benefits to developing countries, harnessing homegrown technology for national development in developing countries can bring more lasting and meaningful benefits. Specifically, the paper makes a case for using homegrown technology to facilitate economic development, strengthen local governance, and provide access to healthcare and education.
