Formulation and Evaluation of Lip Balm

Lip balm is a lip care product that is used to prevent the lips from drying out and to provide a barrier for skin from the outside elements. A study conducted to formulate and improve the quality of lip balm prepared from natural products for use. Introductory: A lip balm was prepared by using beeswax, coconut oil, castor oil, honey, coloring agent and flavoring agent for this study. The homogeneous mixing method was used to make the lip balm, which resulted in a lip balm with a consistent consistency, the influence of temperature was also investigated to discover the best lip balm items that are appropriate for usage, tests on formulation, color, odor, melting point, pH and spreadability were analysed. Testing was done by applying the lip balm composition onto a glass slide.
