Analisis Metafora dalam Lirik Lagu Lemon Karya Kenshi Yonezu

This study aims to describe the metaphor contained in the lyrics of the song Lemon by Kenshi Yonezu and the use of the word Lemon as an icon of loss. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using semiotic research methods, namely examining the sign. The purpose of this article is to find the metaphors contained in the lyrics of the Lemon song using John Fiske's theory of Semiotics, which explains the signs, codes, and the culture that operates them. From the research, we found a metaphor in the lyrics of the Lemon song which describes the feelings of a man who recently lost his relative, namely his own grandfather. As a result of this incident, then changed his perspective so that Kenshi Yonezu used the expression lemon fruit which is interpreted as an icon of loss and then expressed all his feelings in the form of a song.
