The book graphics and set design by the artist M. V. Dobuzhinsky for the works of the writer A.M. Remizov, executed in 1906–1908, are being studied. The factors that influenced these editions of Remizov are analyzed: the writer's relationship with publishing houses and Dobuzhinsky, Dobuzhinsky's interpretation of his literary works and the reaction of art critics.
