AI Speaker Commands for People with Brain Lesion Disorder
View through CrossRef
Background and Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the adequacy and content validity of the categories of AI speaker commands applicable to the development of the AAC system. In order to meet our objectives, a Delphi survey was conducted for parents of individuals with brain lesion and nonverbal communication disorders. Method: Eleven parents of children with brain lesion disorder participated in the study. Two rounds of a Delphi Survey was conducted in eight categories of AI speaker commands: Music, media, daily life, schedule, search, transportation, home IoT control, and game. Mean, stability, agreement, convergence, and content validity were analyzed. Results: It was found that the demand for AI speaker commands required for home IoT control was high, and the selection of AI speaker commands in the music, daily life, schedule, search, transportation, home IoT control, and game categories were validated. Conclusion: This study explored the demands of AI speaker commands necessary for the daily life of people with brain lesion. These commands can be used in AAC device development for AAC users. It can also be used as basic data to increase the usability of the AI s peaker.
