Zillierbachtalsperre

Near the Upper Harzort Elbingerode lies the Zillierbachtalsperre, which thaws the Zillierbach. It serves to supply drinking water to the upper resin resorts as well as to Wernigerodes and in addition to flood protection. The dam on Peterstein was built in the 30s of the 20th century. Construction began in 1934. The Wall is a concrete wall. The building is 45 m high and 186 m long. With this oil painting Erich Krüger created a historical testimony. The picture is in good condition and signed on the left: "E. Kruger Benzingerode/Harz " Erich Krüger was born in Berlin in 1897 and died in 1978 in Benzingerode. At the Berlin Art Academy he studied landscape, animal and flower painting. It was bombed out in 1943 and moved from Berlin to Benzingerode/Harz.
