Reproduction of the painting by Edmund Cieczkiewicz: “The Attorney,” from the series Innate Capabilities. The image shows a boy among the fields of grain, next to a child standing stork. On the obverse title in Polish, German and Hungarian. Postcard number: Ser.78. No. 34. Published by the Publishing House of Polish Painters in Krakow, at 37 Floriańska Street, founded in 1875. By Henryk Frist. He specialized in the sale of both reproductions and original paintings of Krakow painters, including J. Kossaka, J. Fałata, J. Malczewski. He also published postcards of a patriotic, occasional nature, with reproductions of Polish painting, presenting landscapes and city views. On August 26, 1899, the Polish Painters“Salon was awarded a gold medal at the First Slavic Exhibition of Postcards Illustrated, organized in Krakow together with collectors from the Czech Republic by the Cartofils” Circle created by the Union of Polish Postal Stamp Collectors. The jury of the competition included: Jacek Malczewski, Stanisław Tandos, and Leon Wyczółkowski. In the interwar period, the company was taken over and run by the sons of the founder, Józef and Julian. The publishing house used the abbreviation: 'S.M.P.Kr.’. The activity of the Salon ended during the Nazi occupation. (obverse)
