Indian main ornament from Delaware in North America, the first half of the 16th century.

Possibly a gift from the guvenor Johan Printz (1642-1653) to Per Brahe d.y. or Carl Gustaf Wrangel.
Frame of semskat skin, backwards tapered, resembles a long tail. On the skin is firmly sewn transverse laces with inflated red colored deer hair. The whole main ornament originally covered with hair, nowadays the tail part is quite nutty. On either side is stuck a thin tail of red hair.
