WATER QUALITY OF LAKE PRESPA
View through CrossRef
The quality of surface waters is a matter of extremely great importance, not only for the organisms living in these waters, but also for human beings. Investigations of Lake Prespa water were conducted during 2023, with aim to determine water quality and anthropogenic influence on the trophic state of the Lake, using standard limnological methods. According to the obtained results and criteria for the water categorization, the water quality of the Lake Prespa is I to V class. In order to prevent further eutrophication processes, measures of permanent quality control and protection of Lake Prespa should be taken.
