Katembe Beach Tourism Object In Madongka Village, Lakudo Subdistrict, Buton Tengah Regency 2000-2022

Abstract: The objectives of this research are as follows: (1) To describe the background to the existence of the Katembe Beach Tourist Attraction in Madongka Village, Lakudo District, Central Buton Regency, (2) To describe the development of the Katembe Beach Tourist Attraction in Madongka Village, Lakudo District, Central Buton Regency, (3) To describe the activities of the Katembe Beach community in Madongka Village, Lakudo District, Central Buton Regency. The procedure used in this research refers to the historical method procedure proposed by Helius Sjamsuddin (2021: 67) which consists of three stages, namely: (1) Heuristics, (2) Source criticism and (3) Historiography. The results of this research show that: the existence of the Madongka Village beach tourism object is a tourist village that is still natural and is expected to be able to open up job opportunities for the local community to increase the community's economic income and be able to increase local original income. The impact of the existence of the Katembe beach tourist attraction is the creation of new jobs. The Katembe Beach tourist attraction in Madongka Village, Lakudo District, Central Buton Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province has experienced significant changes starting from road improvements and the construction of gazebos which were used in the process of developing Katembe Beach and the most dominant thing is the increase in economic terms because after changing professions daily needs they can be fulfilled well, thus bringing prosperity to the people there.
