The XV Brazilian Congress of Pediatric Neurosurgery was successfully held at the Medical Association of Minas Gerais in Belo Horizonte, MG, from April 30 to May 3, 2025.
During this event, participants revisited the rich history of the Society’s 30 years of congresses, honoring the president of the first edition, Professor Hamilton Matushita, as well as pioneers in pediatric neurosurgery from Minas Gerais—Professors Geraldo Pianetti Filho and Sérgio Lemos.
The organizing and scientific committees included neurosurgeons from all regions of Brazil, ensuring a truly national event. The scientific program was enriched by lectures from both international guests and prominent Brazilian experts. Submitted works were presented as mini-conferences or posters, allowing broad participation from neurosurgeons across the country.
Three pre-congress courses were also offered, providing in-depth exploration of key topics in pediatric neurosurgery. At the end of each day, the "Happy Poster" session enabled authors to briefly present their posters, encouraging informal discussions and shared experiences, all in a relaxed atmosphere with drinks.
The event emphasized not only scientific exchange but also social connection. True to Minas Gerais’ tradition of hospitality and renowned cuisine, the social agenda offered attendees a warm and memorable experience.
The congress reaffirmed its role as the most important event organized by the Brazilian Society of Pediatric Neurosurgery, gathering professionals from all corners of the country in celebration of science, legacy, and collaboration.
