FINGERRING (Masonic ring) Of gold with enamel. Jäm-wide, with flat inside and flack-rounded outside with narrow edge bars and in three elongated oval sections, alternating with small round. In the middle of each of the oval departments a submerged letter filled with dark blue enamel. In the round sections a submerged Masonic cross, filled with red enamel (translucide). On the inside of the oval department with the letter “C” a cross as on the outside of the round sections. Inside engraved: W. v. Hallwyl 18 23/2 84. Firma, karat, national and city stamps and annual letter. Weight 7.6 g. D 2.6 cm. Swedish work, Stockholm, from 1884. Diurnal rings are made at the entrance in the 8 degree of Masonic Order and carried on the middle finger of the right hand, then in the higher degrees until death. The interpretation of the letters D S C is a secret of words. Predicted by order of Walther von Hallwyl at the jeweler firm A. G. Björkman, Stockholm.
