Silence Must Be Heard

View through Europeana Collections
In the words of the artist: “In this project I created five objects/pieces of jewelry that address the relationship between man, musical instruments, and sound, with an emphasis on the air that 'connects' the three. In my search for sound, I realized that these elements are interdependent in the process of creating music. I found that there is no 'right' sound; wherever there is air, there is sound. Without any notes or octaves, the objects are emancipated from the commitment to a tone or a chord, and create a sound of silence; the sound of air.”
