Fragment of a stela with the bust of a figure

Fragment of a stela, pillar decorated in relief with the bust of a human figure. The figure is represented from a 3/4-perspective, while the head, tilted upwards, is represented in profile. The head is out of proportion with the bust (significantly larger). The face of either a god or a mythical being. Disk motifs. Fragment originated from one of the famous large pillars of the Copán ruins, standing at the foot of the Hieroglyphic Stairway. This origin has been documented since 1875.
