Exploring the Experiences and Perceptions of Secondary School Teachers on the Use of Technology for Personalized Learning in District Khairpur, Sindh

This qualitative research aims at exploring the experiences and perspectives of secondary school teachers of district Khairpur, Sindh, towards using technology for personalized learning. This research is conducted through semi-structured interviews with 20 teachers and found them quite optimistic about personalized learning, believing that personalized learning was able to increase student engagement and motivation. Nonetheless, teachers struggle with an effective application of personalized learning because of a lack of tech-enabled education infrastructure, limited access to digital resources, classroom management issues, and so on. Additionally, we view personalized learning emphasize teacher agency, technological support, and collaborative learning environments. These recommendations range from investing in technological infrastructure to providing continuous professional development opportunities to create student-centered learning environments. We hope that this research will contribute to the better grasp of the interconnectedness of teacher attitudes, infrastructure, and the development of student-centered learning environments in the terrain of personalized learning.
