During July 2009, an archaeological survey was conducted at the eastern end of Holot Yavne, south of Ashdod harbor and north of the Ashdod northern industrial zone (License No. S-135/2009; map ref. 16860-990/63790-870). The survey, undertaken on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and underwritten by the Israel Ports Authority, was directed by E. Aladjem, P. Nahshoni and A. Pilin.
