Rádio Ambiental: experiência extensionista na escola Marechal Rondon em Vilhena

This paper reports on the data and experience acquired during an extension project in environmental education and communication called “Radio as a Vehicle for Citizenship”, undertaken at the Marechal Rondon State School for Elementary and Middle Education, which is linked to the Department of Communication - Journalism (Dejor) of the Federal University of Rondônia (Unir). The main objective of this project involved the implementation of an environmental education and communication interface in the public schools of Vilhena, in the southern cone of the State of Rondônia. The methodology used was based on participatory research, with radio content concerning environmental education. Extension activities included workshops and meetings with lectures, considering published studies in the fields of radio communication and environmental education. The results obtained reflected the objective of the proposed extension activity, namely the development of the relationship between environmental education and communication channels, and the production and formatting of content transmitted using the medium of sound in the middle school. The set of technical tools employed to achieve these results included the design, implementation, and analysis of semi-structured questionnaires regarding communication and the environment, which were completed by the project participants, as well as experimentation with radio production in the form of news reports with content including environmental education themes, delivered using the radio platform of the school in question.RÁDIO AMBIENTAL: EXPERIÊNCIA EXTENSIONISTA NA ESCOLA MARECHAL RONDON EM VILHENA Evelyn Iris Leite Morales Conde[1] RESUMO O presente trabalho apresenta o relato de dados e experiências do Projeto de Extensão Educação e Comunicação ambiental: rádio como veículo de cidadania na Escola Estadual de Ensinos Fundamental e Médio Marechal Rondon, vinculado ao Departamento de Comunicação Social – Jornalismo (Dejor) da Universidade Federal de Rondônia (Unir). As ações do referido projeto perpassam pelo objetivo principal de aplicação da interface educação e comunicação ambiental em escolas públicas de Vilhena, cone Sul do estado de Rondônia. Com base na metodologia de pesquisa participante, aliou-se a prática educomunicativa radiofônica aos conteúdos relativos à educação ambiental. Tanto a prática da extensão, com oficinas e encontros de palestras, como a construção deste trabalho levaram em consideração os estudos de autores das áreas de educação, de comunicação radiofônica e de educação ambiental, para que os resultados obtidos remetessem às ações objetivas da proposta extensionista, ou seja: a relação da educação e comunicação ambiental e a produção/formatação de conteúdo ambiental transmitido através de meio sonoro na escola. Para obtenção de tais resultados utilizaram-se instrumentos técnicos de coleta tais como elaboração, aplicação e análise de questionários semiestruturados sobre comunicação e meio ambiente, além de experimentação de produção radiofônica em formato de reportagens jornalísticas, com conteúdos voltados à temática educativa ambiental, veiculadas na rádio-pátio da escola em questão. Palavras-chave: Educação ambiental.
