painting (gouache): ["Lady and Servant with Basket of Flowers"]

A lady uses a chair for support as she puts small flowers in her hair for decoration. The lady wears a gold tunic over red trousers and a blue short jacket. She is standing but kneels on a green chair with her left knee and holds onto the chair back with her left arm. She has small [bound] feet. Her servant stands to the right, in white trousers and orange and white tunic, holding up a basket of flowers. Behind the woman to the left is a high black plant table, on it sits an angular green vase filled with branches covered in a large white blossom. On pith paper which is trimmed with blue silk ribbon. Export watercolour for Western market.
