painting (gouache): ["Warrior Seated, and Soldier"]

A man is seated in a folding wooden chair. He wears an elaborate belted tunic and armour with lion design. He holds a bow in his left hand and there is a quiver of arrows at his right. He also wears a helmet with tassel and feather decoration. To the lower left is a man kneeling before him. He wears a purple tunic and a red and white jacket with Chinese characters in a circle on the back. Behind them is a large rolled out carpet [?] in brown, with a lion, dragon and cloud design. The background is untouched. On pith paper which is trimmed with blue silk ribbon. Export watercolour for Western market.
